Commercial, auto and home insurance provider Encova Insurance has selected Sapiens Decision to power enterprise-wide transformation.
The insurer is an existing customer of Sapiens CoreSuite for Workers’ Compensation and is now expanding its relationship with the technology provider as part of a multi-year digital transformation.
Sapiens Decision offers decision intelligence capabilities including decision logic extraction, no-code decision modelling and deployment.
Sapiens enables Encova to transform agent experience and drive profitable growth by centralising decision intelligence.
Encova is developing a single, consolidated portal for its network of more than 2,000 independent agencies to streamline the way agents interact with the insurer across various types of insurance policies.
Sapiens Decision will serve as a central decisioning layer between Encova’s new agent portal and its back-end systems.

By GlobalDataAfter migrating from legacy systems to two primary policy administration platforms, Encova identified the Sapiens solution as a key enabler for its digital initiatives.
Sapiens Decision is expected to provide an environment conducive to defining, testing, deploying and optimising operational decisions, with the aim of reducing IT dependency and accelerating the introduction of new business rules and changes.
Encova Insurance executive vice-president and chief information officer Ramu Lingala said: “Encova is taking a forward-thinking approach with Sapiens by centralising decision intelligence across the enterprise, starting with our agent portal and expanding from there. Having partnered successfully with Sapiens for our workers’ compensation business, we are confident in extending that relationship with Sapiens Decision to support our broader transformation goals.”
Encova aims to extend the use of Sapiens Decision beyond the agent portal to encompass other lines of business and operational areas.
Sapiens president and CEO Roni Al-Dor stated: “Encova’s enterprise strategy for decision intelligence is a standout example of how insurers can align business and IT to drive efficiency and profitable growth. Decision gives Encova the ability to do more with less, enabling a small team to manage a large, complex business environment while reducing IT involvement.”
