EmPRO Insurance, a licensed medical professional liability insurer in the US, has opened a new office in Boston, Massachusetts.

The move is part of the company’s broader strategic expansion into the New England market and follows its earlier entries into New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

The new Boston office will be led by Michael Miller, recently appointed vice-president of underwriting at EmPRO.

Miller, who previously held a senior position at Boston-based Coverys, will oversee operations in Massachusetts.

Joining Miller are Michael Kubik, vice-president of business development, and Brian Kriger, vice-president of underwriting.

The trio has a combined 70 years of experience in the medical malpractice insurance sector, the insurer said.
