DUAL Europe, part of Howden, has appointed Amaury Berhault and Jaume Benajiba as managing directors to oversee its transactional liability insurance operations in Europe.
Both Berhault and Benajiba have more than 17 years of experience in transactional liability underwriting.

They were previously with Acquinex, where they served as co-heads for southern Europe and Latin America and were members of the company’s European management team.
Berhault previously managed the southern European practice at ANV, led the transactional risks division at Marsh New Zealand and held an underwriter position at Tokio Marine.
Berhault said: “We have ambitious plans to be number one globally across all lines of M&A [mergers and acquisitions]. This is not just about growth; it is about setting a new benchmark for excellence in transactional liability.

DUAL Europe’s services include warranty and indemnity insurance, tax liability insurance, title insurance, and contingent risks insurance for parties involved in complex transactions.
In September this year, DUAL Europe started a cargo insurance business as part of its marine portfolio expansion.
Chris Wittoeck, who has more than 25 years of experience in marine cargo underwriting, was appointed head of Cargo at DUAL Europe.
