Coface, a France-based credit insurance provider, has appointed Carmina Abad Sánchez as CEO of its Latin American business.

She will replace Bart Pattyn, who decided to leave the company after 17 years of services.

In her new role, Carmina will join the executive committee and will report to group CEO Xavier Durand.

During her 30 years long career, Carmina worked in management roles with a number of insurance companies.

Prior to joining, Coface she was chairman of Swiss Re Group in Mexico and CEO of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in Mexico.

Earlier, she served for 25 years at MetLife in Mexico, Spain and the US.
