Chubb has launched a support programme for its small business clients in the US to ease the financial burden caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
It will also provide direct support to healthcare workers as well as other front-line responders.
Under the programme, the company’s small business clients in the US, whose policies renew between 1 April 2020 and 1 August 2020, will get an automatic 25% reduction in the sales and payroll exposures used to calculate their premium.
They will also receive a 15% discount on premiums for their commercial auto insurance.
In addition, Chubb will buy $1m in gift cards from small business clients in the US. It will be donated to healthcare workers and other front lines responders.
Chubb Small Business Division president Jim Williamson said: “Chubb is committed to serving America’s small businesses. We are proud to do our part to support clients and their communities at this time when they need it most.”
Earlier this month, the company pledged $10m to coronavirus pandemic relief efforts globally. The fund will provide support to people and programmes delivering emergency frontline services.
Chubb offers a range of services including commercial and personal property and casualty insurance, personal accident and supplemental health insurance, reinsurance and life insurance.
The firm has a presence in 54 countries and territories.
