China Life Insurance has reported a rise in fiscal 2013 net profit by 124% to CNY24.77bn ($4bn), compared to CNY11.06bn ($1.8bn) last year.
The company’s total revenue for the year was CNY417.9bn ($67.9bn), an increase of 12.5% from CNY371.5bn ($60.4bn) in fiscal 2012.

Net premiums earned were CNY324.8bn ($52.8bn), compared to CNY322.13bn ($52.38bn) in the previous year.
The total amount of insurance benefits and claims paid by the company during the period reached CNY138.7bn ($22.55bn).
