Brown & Brown Lone Star Insurance Services has acquired all of the assets of VerHagen Glendenning & Walker; Glendenning Insurance Agency; Walker Insurance; Glen R VerHagen Insurance Services and VerHagen Insurance, collectively termed as VGW Insurance.
Financial terms of the acquisition have not been revealed.
Operating since early 1990s, VGW Insurance provides property and casualty insurance products and services to businesses and individuals in Texas.
After the transaction, the VGW team will function as a stand-alone office in the retail segment of Brown & Brown.
The business will continue to be led by Rick Walker from the current locations in Rockwall, Plano, Sherman and Van Alstyne in Texas.

In July, Brown & Brown purchased all of the assets of Innovative Risk Solutions and LSI Lender Services, a company which offers employee benefits solutions for clients.
