Commercial insurance provider Bold Penguin has made Agent Terminal, its agent-facing technology, available in all 50 US states.
The product was until now available to only the top 100 brokers, aiding users to triage, quote and bind commercial insurance.
It offers a rules-based tool to write commercial insurance accurately, the company said.
The technology now manages various coverage types including general liability, workers compensation, professional liability, business owner’s policy (BOP), and bonds.
Agent Terminal co-founder and director Marc DeLeonibus said: “Our belief in the trusted adviser, the insurance agent, is one of the cornerstones of Bold Penguin.
“We are thrilled to be able to empower independent agents with the help from major carriers such as Nationwide Insurance in order to give technology that makes the process of quoting and binding commercial insurance more efficiently, in some cases as much as 300% efficiency gain.”
Nationwide, Attune, Hiscox, and CNA have recently utilised the technology. Bold Penguin said that the increase in the technology’s adoption has increased its size by two-fold over the last year.
Overall, the technology is said to have supported more than 950,000 small to midsize businesses in getting a commercial quote.
Attune CEO James Hobson said: “Attune has built a business around digital – utilising data, analytics and modern technology – to deliver main street and speciality insurance products to independent agents in real-time.
“Bold Penguin shares this passion and we are excited to partner and integrate with them as they extend their presence further in the agency channel.”
