Aviva has launched a new
Facebook app which rates users’ health and allows them to compare
scores with friends and family in an effort to encourage people to
become healthy.

The app provides people
with advice and goals to become fitter and healthier who will be
able to share progress on their goals tracker to build up online
support.

It rates users’ health by inviting them to
answer a short quiz about their lifestyle, including diet,
exercise, drinking and smoking habits, which are used to generate a
health score out of 100, with 100 being the best score.

Tips and videos featuring health and
fitness experts, including players from Norwich City Football Club,
athletes and Aviva Premiership Rugby players with information on
how to exercise and make healthy dietary changes are part of the
app.

It also includes a range of personal
stories to inspire others to take control of their
health.

Aviva UK health medical director Dr Doug
Wright said: “We know that as a nation we’re becoming unhealthier
and it’s important for everyone to realise how easy it is to make
changes to their lifestyles to improve their health and fitness,
now and in the future.
