Allianz Group has posted a rise in its Q3 2013 net income by 6.3% to €1.44bn, compared to €1.36bn in the same quarter a year ago.

The company reported an operating profit of €2.53bn, a decline of 0.7% from €2.51bn in the third quarter of fiscal 2012.

Its revenues during the three-month period of fiscal 2013 were €25.1bn, down 0.2% from €25.2bn in Q3 2012.

For the first nine months of fiscal 2013, Allianz has reported a net income of €4.7bn, compared to €3.98bn in the same period last year.

Allianz CEO Michael Diekmann said, "Given the positive development of the Allianz Group for the first nine months of 2013, we now expect our operating profit for the full year to be slightly above 9.7 billion euros, the upper end of our previously stated target range."
