Global insurer Allianz Partners has named Tim Tozer as its new CEO for the UK and Ireland, effective 1 September 2018.

Recently, Tozer served as group operations director at Vertu Motors, a motor retailer in the UK, a designation he occupied since March 2016.

Earlier, he acted as the chairman and managing director of Vauxhall Motors as well as CEO of Opel Ireland for General Motors. He also worked as a president of Mitsubishi Motors Europe.

Between 2002 and 2004, Tozer worked a director at Allianz Partners UK and Ireland.

Allianz Partners board member responsible for its Northern Europe, Middle East and Africa regions, Ida Luka-Lognoné, said: “As a proven, successful business leader, Tim will bring additional credibility and focus to the existing strong and ambitious management teams driving our successful UK and Ireland operations.

“This is an exciting time for Tim to be returning. Not only have both markets continued to grow their portfolio of extremely successful products and services spanning roadside assistance, warranty, travel insurance and international medical assistance, they have built a wider portfolio of customer care and retention services that exploit Allianz Partners’ global digital capabilities.
