Allianz Life has appointed Mike Fischer as a
new vice president within its legal department, where he will
oversee the department’s oversight of business operations, product
development, distribution, and tax.
Fischer replaces Gretchen Cepek who was
recently promoted to senior vice president and general counsel for
Allianz Life.

Fischer joined Allianz after practising as an
attorney with law firm Halleland Habicht PA. With previous
experience at ING Americas, ReliaStar Life Insurance and Prudential
Insurance Company of America, Fischer will bring more than 30 years
of insurance industry experience to his new role.
Commenting on Fischer’s appointment, Cepek
said: “He is a strong collaborator in providing advice on product
development and regulatory compliance matters and the leadership he
brings to the Allianz Life legal department will be a valuable
asset going forward.”
