Additionally, the company has rolled out an assortment of insurance products for the renewable power sector. The renewable insurance products will offer coverage to both the construction and operation of renewable technologies. Moreover, the products cover wind, solar and hydro power.
The rebranded proposition, according to Allianz, had been positioned as a multi-niche insurance and inspection provider.
Allianz Engineering, Construction & Power director Chris Little said: “The launch cements Allianz’s investment in creating dedicated multi-niche teams focused on the engineering, construction and power sectors and the creation of expert-led solutions at every interaction with the customer.”
Additionally, the rebranded ECP will provide its customers and broker partners with covers for assets, legal liabilities, employees, and revenue.
The business will also offer direct access to expert underwriting teams across engineering, construction and power across the country. The insurer claims that the team has extensive knowledge and experience across all sectors.
Allianz’s ECP business will further provide its largest pool of engineer surveyor with 620 UKAS accredited engineers to help check plants and equipment across the UK.
Little added: “With over 100 years’ of insurance experience and together with our market-leading engineering inspection and consultancy services, I am confident that this rebrand and our new renewables proposition will meet the needs of brokers and customers in these important and growing sectors.”
