Allianz Insurance has added a live tracking feature to its Claims Hub platform to provide real-time updates on the status of motor claims.

The new service allows brokers to track claims journey along five stages, which include policy cover, liability, vehicle, third party and recovery.

It will provide information such as whether the claim has been validated or requires further information; who has accepted liability and when; progress on vehicle repair; whether a third-party claim has been settled, denied or redirected; and if recovery is being pursued.

The latest update follows the addition of live chat feature last year.

Allianz Claims Hub, a digital platform for brokers and motor fleet customers, was launched in April 2020. It allows brokers and customers to notify motor fleet claims 24 hours a day, seven days a week through a dynamic question set.

Additionally, users can upload supporting documents and images securely and swiftly using the portal.

Allianz Insurance head of claims strategy and customer experience Margaret Scott said: “Delivering an excellent claims service is central to providing a market-leading experience for our customers. We continue to leverage digital technology to simplify the claims journey for our brokers and customers, and this latest upgrade responds directly to our partners’ feedback, to deliver the quality of service our reputation relies on.”

Last week, Allianz launched a new Global Commercial insurance division to target the property and casualty commercial market.
