Zurich Insurance Group’s IT hiring activity rises 7.3% in April 2022

Switzerland-based company Zurich Insurance Group’s IT hiring rose 7.3% in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 1.89% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 16.66% share in the company’s total hiring activity in April 2022, and recorded a 2.08% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Zurich Insurance Group IT hiring in April 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Zurich Insurance Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 58.42% in April 2022, and a 2.21% drop over March 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 18.48% in April 2022, and registered growth of 14.29%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 14.19% in April 2022, a 2.38% rise from March 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at Zurich Insurance Group

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global insurance IT hiring activity in April 2022 with a 53.8% share, which marked a 6.86% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 32.01%, registering a 14.12% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 14.19% share and a 19.44% rise over March 2022.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 29.37% share in April 2022, an 18.67% growth over March 2022. Spain featured next with a 17.16% share, down 5.45% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 14.52% share, a decline of 8.33% compared with March 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Zurich Insurance Group IT hiring activity in April 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.3%, up by 0.95% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.8% share, a decline of 1.64% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.9% share, up 20% over March 2022.
