Switzerland-based company Zurich Insurance Group’s IT hiring rose 4.5% in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 12.03% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 16.67% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2021, and recorded a 0.98% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Zurich Insurance Group IT hiring in November 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Zurich Insurance Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 60.61% in November 2021, and a 14.63% drop over October 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 20.78% in November 2021, and registered a decline of 9.43%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 10.82% in November 2021, an 8.7% rise from October 2021.

Europe drives IT hiring at Zurich Insurance Group

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global insurance IT hiring activity in November 2021 with a 61.47% share, which marked a 21.11% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 22.94%, registering a flat month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 15.58% share and a 16.13% rise over October 2021.

Spain commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 22.08% share in November 2021, a 28.17% decline over October 2021. US featured next with a 21.21% share, flat growth over the previous month. Germany recorded a 15.58% share, a decline of 21.74% compared with October 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Zurich Insurance Group IT hiring activity in November 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.37%, down by 13.22% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 20.78% share, a decline of 15.79% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 12.99% share, down 9.09% over October 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.87%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
