The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 5.13% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021. IT jobs claimed a 15% share in the company’s total hiring activity in December 2021, and recorded a 2.3% decline over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Zurich Insurance Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 62.3% in December 2021, and a 7.8% rise over November 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 17.21% in December 2021, and registered a decline of 12.5%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 10.66% in December 2021, a flat growth from November 2021.
Europe drives IT hiring at Zurich Insurance Group
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global insurance IT hiring activity in December 2021 with a 61.07% share, which marked a 3.47% rise over the previous month. North America stood next with 23.36%, registering a 5.56% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 15.16% share and a 2.78% rise over November 2021. In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 0.41% and a month-on-month flat growth. Spain commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 21.72% share in December 2021, a 1.92% growth over November 2021. US featured next with a 20.9% share, up 4.08% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 13.93% share, a decline of 8.11% compared with November 2021.
