The US’s insurance industry registered a 4.5% rise in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 4.74% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.
Out of the insurance industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11.06% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 0.46% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s insurance industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.54% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s insurance industry in March 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 58.5% in March 2022, registering a 10.31% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 15.96% share, a decrease of 9.88% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.74%, registering a 5.49% rise from February 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 9.18%, up 0.53% over the previous month.
Top five insurance companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 29.92% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s insurance industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
Anthem posted 741 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 15.96% over the previous month, followed by UnitedHealth Group with 730 jobs and a 5.04% growth. Centene with 322 IT jobs and Liberty International Holdings with 215 jobs, recorded a 58.62% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while MetLife recorded an increase of 18.09% with 111 job postings during March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.79%, up by 1.21% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.64% share, registered an increase of 16.73% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.39% share, up 4.22% over February 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.17%, recording a month-on-month increase of 23.08%.
