The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.79% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021. Out of the insurance industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.15% share in December 2021, recording an increase of 0.26% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100.12% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s insurance industry in December 2021. 1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 53.47% in December 2021, registering a 2.11% decline over the previous month. 2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 20.24% share, a decrease of 9.25% over the previous month. 3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 14.39%, registering a 7% rise from November 2021. 4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 7.31%, down 33.79% over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 2.66% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s insurance industry during December 2021 over November 2021. UnitedHealth Group posted 588 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a rise of 3.89% over the previous month, followed by Anthem with 445 jobs and a 1.6% growth. Centene with 398 IT jobs and Dai-ichi Life Holdings with 138 jobs, recorded a 20.97% growth and a 21.14% decrease, respectively, while USAA recorded a decline of 16.36% with 92 job postings during December 2021.

By GlobalDataJunior Level jobs held a share of 60.94%, down by 8.48% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 25.52% share, registered a decline of 2.66% compared with the previous month. In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 12.44% share, down 2.84% over November 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.09%, recording a month-on-month increase of 9.09%.
