The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.36% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021. Out of the insurance industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 14.24% share in December 2021, recording an increase of 0.49% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s insurance industry in December 2021. 1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 50.84% in December 2021, registering an 8.04% growth over the previous month. 2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed an 18.91% share, a decrease of 10% over the previous month. 3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 15.55%, registering a 15.91% decline from November 2021. 4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 8.4%, up 66.67% over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 11.34% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s insurance industry during December 2021 over November 2021. BGL Group posted 30 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a rise of 20% over the previous month, followed by Willis Towers Watson with 23 jobs and a 30.3% drop. AXA with 20 IT jobs and Dai-ichi Life Holdings with 19 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a 46.15% growth, respectively, while Aviva recorded a flat growth with 16 job postings during December 2021.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.73%, up by 1.65% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 13.03% share, registered a decline of 8.82% compared with the previous month. In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.98% share, up 46.15% over November 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.26%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
