The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.77% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 55.51% in October 2021, registering a 31% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 21.19% share, a decrease of 10.71% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.44%, registering an 18.18% decline from September 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 8.05%, up 72.73% over the previous month.
Top five insurance companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 71.43% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s insurance industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
Willis Towers Watson posted 38 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a rise of 65.22% over the previous month, followed by AXA with 29 jobs and a 1350% growth. Zurich Insurance Group with 18 IT jobs and Markel with 12 jobs, recorded a 12.5% flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Dai-ichi Life Holdings recorded a decline of 50% with 11 job postings during October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.97%, up by 11.52% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 14.41% share, registered an increase of 13.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.2% share, up 13.33% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.42%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
