The UK’s insurance industry registered a 10.4% drop in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 8.43% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.
Out of the insurance industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 13.27% share in March 2022, recording a decrease of 0.53% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the UK’s insurance industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.46% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s insurance industry in March 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 46.49% in March 2022, registering a 32.28% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 28.65% share, an increase of 39.47% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.43%, registering a 15% rise from February 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 7.03%, up 8.33% over the previous month.
Top five insurance companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 68% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s insurance industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
RSA Insurance Group posted 26 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 160% over the previous month, followed by Zurich Insurance Group with 19 jobs and a 35.71% growth. Aviva with 15 IT jobs and Arthur J. Gallagher with 14 jobs, recorded a 6.25% decline and a 133.33% growth, respectively, while Intercorp Financial Services recorded an increase of 150% with 10 job postings during March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.51%, down by 15.53% from February 2022. Entry Level positions with a 13.51% share, registered an increase of 13.64% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 12.97% share, down 11.11% over February 2022.
