
Switzerland-based company Swiss Re’s IT hiring remained flat in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 5.14% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 22.04% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2021, and recorded a 1.32% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Swiss Re IT hiring in October 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Swiss Re, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 58.05% in October 2021, and a 4.12% rise over September 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 22.99% in October 2021, and registered growth of 25%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 13.79% in October 2021, a 7.69% drop from September 2021.

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global insurance IT hiring activity in October 2021 with a 48.85% share, which marked a flat growth over the previous month.
North America stood next with 36.21%, registering a 3.28% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with an 11.49% share and a 42.86% rise over September 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 3.45% and a month-on-month increase of 50%.
Slovakia commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 25.29% share in October 2021, a 12% decline over September 2021. US featured next with a 22.99% share, up 8.11% over the previous month. Switzerland recorded a 13.22% share, an increase of 15% compared with September 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Swiss Re IT hiring activity in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.22%, up by 0.92% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 30.46% share, a growth of 32.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.32% share, down 26.67% over September 2021.
