The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 3.66% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 22.95% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 0.03% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Swiss Re IT hiring in September 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Swiss Re, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 59.26% in September 2021, and a 12.73% drop over August 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 19.14% in September 2021, and registered a decline of 11.43%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 16.05% in September 2021, a 21.21% drop from August 2021.

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global insurance IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 51.85% share, which marked an 18.45% drop over the previous month.
North America stood next with 37.04%, registering a 5.26% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with an 8.64% share and a 36.36% drop over August 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.47% and a month-on-month decline of 20%.
Slovakia commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 30.25% share in September 2021, a 19.67% decline over August 2021. US featured next with a 22.22% share, down 5.26% over the previous month. Switzerland recorded a 12.35% share, an increase of 11.11% compared with August 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Swiss Re IT hiring activity in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.05%, down by 17.05% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 24.69% share, a decline of 4.76% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.26% share, down 6.25% over August 2021.
