November 2021 has seen an increase of 4.21% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 14.71% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2021, registering an increase of 2.23% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 55.81% in November 2021, a 41.18% rise over the previous month. Computer Support Specialists came in next, claiming a share of 23.26% in November 2021, marking a 900% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 9.3% in November 2021, a 33.33% drop from October 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 77.27% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s insurance industry during November 2021 over previous month.
Swiss Re posted 11 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered an increase of 83.33% over the previous month, followed by Porto Seguro with 11 jobs and a 266.67% growth. AIA Group with 6 IT jobs and Willis Towers Watson with 6 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 53.85% drop, respectively, while Samsung Life Insurance recorded a flat growth with 5 job postings during November 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s insurance industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 62.79% share in November 2021, a 170% increase over October 2021. Peru featured next with a 13.95% share, down 33.33% over the previous month. Anguilla recorded a 13.95% share, a flat growth compared with October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.79%, up by 12.5% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 20.93% share, registered a growth of 125% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 16.28% share, flat growth over October 2021.
