The industry’s overall hiring increased by 12.2% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.

Top five insurance companies in South Africa’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of South Africa’s insurance industry during November 2021 over October 2021.
Sanlam posted 96 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a drop of 4% over the previous month, followed by Discovery with 36 jobs and a 23.4% drop. Old Mutual with 8 IT jobs and Munchener Ruckversicherungs-Gesellschaft(Munich Re) with 1 jobs, recorded a 38.46% decline and a flat growth.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.79%, up by 8.99% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 19.15% share, registered a decline of 46% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.06% share, down 19.05% over October 2021.
