India’s insurance industry registered an 8.6% rise in IT hiring activity in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.12% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.
Out of the insurance industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.25% share in November 2021, recording an increase of 1.15% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s insurance industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s insurance industry in November 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 62.6% in November 2021, registering an 11.83% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed an 18.32% share, a decrease of 25% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.98%, registering a 54.55% rise from October 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.58%, down 40% over the previous month.
Top five insurance companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 30.99% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s insurance industry during November 2021 over October 2021.
Bajaj Finserv posted 31 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a drop of 29.55% over the previous month, followed by Marsh & McLennan Companies with 20 jobs and a 150% growth. Swiss Re with 16 IT jobs and Zurich Insurance Group with 14 jobs, recorded a 45.45% growth and a 75% growth, respectively, while Allianz recorded a flat growth with 12 job postings during November 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.25%, down by 22.68% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 35.88% share, registered an increase of 14.63% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.11% share, down 11.11% over October 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.76%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
