Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in March 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 58.06% in March 2022, a 24.71% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 20.53% in March 2022, marking a 4.11% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 12.61% in March 2022, a 38.57% drop from February 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 20.52% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s insurance industry during March 2022 over previous month.
Swiss Re posted 38 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a decline of 11.63% over the previous month, followed by Willis Towers Watson with 38 jobs and a 35.71% growth. While Intercorp Financial Services recorded a 47.69% decline with 34 job postings during March 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s insurance industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 25.81% share in March 2022, a 43.95% decrease over February 2022. Australia featured next with a 15.25% share, down 45.26% over the previous month. Singapore recorded a 12.02% share, a growth of 127.78% compared with February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.46%, down by 22.83% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 27.57% share, registered a decline of 25.98% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.5% share, down 45.28% over February 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.47%, recording a month-on-month decline of 16.67%.
