The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 2.33% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Allianz, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 53.06% in August 2021, and an 8.77% drop over July 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 21.43% in August 2021, and registered flat growth. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 19.39% in August 2021, a 38.71% drop from July 2021.

Europe drives IT hiring at Allianz

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global insurance IT hiring activity in August 2021 with an 86.73% share, which marked a 22.02% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 10.2%, registering a 9.09% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 3.06% share and a flat growth over July 2021.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 63.27% share in August 2021, a 17.33% decline over July 2021. Switzerland featured next with a 7.14% share, up 250% over the previous month. Spain recorded a 7.14% share, a decline of 30% compared with July 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Allianz IT hiring activity in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.41%, down by 18.82% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.37% share, a decline of 21.74% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Senior job ads with 7.14% share, up 133.33% over July 2021, while Entry Level postings accounted for 4.08%, recording a month-on-month decline of 66.67%.
