The company’s overall hiring activity an increased by 7.23% in May 2021 when compared with April 2021.

IT jobs claimed an 11.96% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2021, and recorded a 1.79% growth over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Willis Towers Watson, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 55.56% in May 2021, and a 35.42% growth over April 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 26.5% in May 2021, and registered a 26.19% decline. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 6.84% in May 2021, a 42.86% drop from April 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Willis Towers Watson

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global insurance IT hiring activity in May 2021 with a 47.86% share, which marked an 80.65% growth over the previous month.

North America stood next with 20.51%, registering a 58.62% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 17.95% share and a 5% growth over April 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 13.68% and a month-on-month an increase of 14.29%.

Philippines commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 32.48% share in May 2021, a 52% growth over April 2021. the UK featured next with a 16.24% share, up 26.67% over the previous month.United States recorded a 14.53% share, decline of 66.67% compared with April 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Willis Towers Watson IT hiring activity in May 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.91%, down by 7.62% from April 2021. Mid Level positions with an 11.11% share, a growth of 30% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.98% share, down 30% over April 2021.
