This compares to a 182% increase versus Q3 2021.

Notably, Claims Adjusters, Appraisers, Examiners, and Investigators jobs accounted for a 6% share of the global insurance industry’s social responsibility-related total new job postings in Q3 2022, up 4% over the prior quarter.

Claims Adjusters, Appraisers, Examiners, and Investigators, with a share of 6%, emerged as the top social responsibility-related job roles within the insurance industry in Q3 2022, with new job postings rising by 4% quarter-on-quarter. Financial Analysts and Advisors came in second with a share of 5% in Q3 2022, with new job postings rising by 8% over the previous quarter.

The other prominent social responsibility roles include Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers with a 4% share in Q3 2022, General and Operations Managers with a 4% share of new job postings.

Top five companies in insurance industry accounted for 9% of hiring activity

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q3 2022 were Liberty International Holdings, Zurich Insurance Group, UnitedHealth Group and Manulife Financial. Together they accounted for a combined share of 9% of all social responsibility-related active jobs in the insurance industry.

Liberty International Holdings posted 1,724 social responsibility-related new jobs in Q3 2022, Zurich Insurance Group 1,368 jobs, UnitedHealth Group 1,168 jobs, and Manulife Financial 777 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 70% share of total active job postings, Q3 2022

The largest share of social responsibility-related new job postings in the insurance industry in Q3 2022 was in the US with 70% followed by Canada (9%) and the UK (6%). The share represented by the US was three percentage points lower than the 73% share it accounted for in Q2 2022.
