Notably, cyber insurance was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q1 2024, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of artificial intelligence and online payments, according to GlobalData.

Of the top leading companies in the insurance industry, Travelers had the greatest increase in references for cyber insurance in Q1 2024, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified five cyber insurance-related sentences in the company's filings - 0.2% of all sentences - and an increase of 150% in Q1 2024 compared with Q1 2023. Hartford Financial Services Group’s mentions of cyber insurance rose by 100% to 4 and Cincinnati Financial’s by 25% to 3 and Arch Capital Group’s by 50% to 2.
