The company’s overall hiring activity an increased by 7.22% in May 2021 when compared with April 2021.

IT jobs claimed an 11.17% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2021, and recorded a 0.59% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Equitable IT hiring in May 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Equitable, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 39.22% in May 2021, and a 37.5% drop over April 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 37.25% in May 2021, and registered an 11.63% decline. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 15.69% in May 2021, a 38.46% drop from April 2021.

Europe drives IT hiring at Equitable

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global insurance IT hiring activity in May 2021 with a 51.96% share, which marked a 48.04% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 33.33%, registering a 9.68% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 12.75% share and a flat growth over April 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 1.96% and a month-on-month an a flat growth.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 29.41% share in May 2021, a 3.45% growth over April 2021. France featured next with a 22.55% share, down 65.15% over the previous month.United Kingdom recorded a 19.61% share, an increase of 100% compared with April 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Equitable IT hiring activity in May 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 86.27%, down by 28.46% from April 2021. Mid Level positions with a 7.84% share, a decline of 46.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.88% share, down 40% over April 2021.
