Marc Blottiere has commenced his role as regional chief operating officer of AXA Asia. He reports directly to Jean-Louis Laurent Josi, regional CEO of AXA Asia.

Blottiere’s new role involves leading and transforming AXA Asia’s overall IT and operations capabilities within the region across all lines of business.

As a member of the regional executive committee, AXA said Blottiere will play a central role to provide vision and direction for the implementation of IT and operations initiatives in the region, ensuring they are aligned with reinventing the customer experience.

Blottiere has three decades of experience in operations and IT in the insurance field, implementing solutions across life and savings, health and protection and general insurance functions.

He has previously held senior management roles with AXA in France, Singapore and Japan. AXA said one of his key achievements was setting up a new service organisation within the AXA Group, AXA Tech, to manage AXA’s IT infrastructure worldwide.

Most recently, he was the chief information officer at AXA France and, prior to that appointment, he was chief operating officer of AXA Life Japan from 2009 for 5 years and was group chief information officer at AXA Group from 2005 for 4 years.
