The James R. Vozar Insurance Agency was established in 1969 by James R. Vozar. Over more than five decades, it has operated as an independent insurance business in Michigan.

The agency focuses on farm and agricultural policies as well as personal and commercial insurance.

The business, led by Mike Vozar and Brian Earles, grew to operate from three locations in the state. Both will stay on through the transition period to support clients and employees as the integration proceeds.

Vozar said: “When we began looking for a partner to help take our agency to the next level, we reached out to Inszone.

“We were drawn to their willingness to partner with us, as well as the new resources and advanced agency management systems they bring to the table.”

Established in 2002, Inszone provides a diverse portfolio of property and casualty insurance alongside employee benefits packages.

Inszone Insurance Services CEO Chris Walters commented: “James R. Vozar Insurance Agency has an incredible history of serving the Michigan community, particularly within the agricultural space.

“Their deep local roots and specialised knowledge make them a perfect fit for Inszone. We are excited to welcome Mike, Brian and their team, and we look forward to providing them with the resources and backend support they need to continue their legacy of excellent service.”

In December last year, Inszone Insurance Services also bought Meyer & Rees, which does business as Bierschwale-Rees Insurance.

The company works in personal and commercial insurance and has experience serving the local tourism market.

Its commercial book includes policies for restaurants, wineries, art galleries, bed-and-breakfasts and similar businesses, as well as personal insurance for local residents.
