Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), which operates under Marsh, has acquired Hayden Wood Insurance Agency, an independent company in Massachusetts, US.  

Financial aspects of the transaction remain undisclosed.  

Set up in 1946, Hayden Wood is known for its work in personal lines insurance at a national level and has developed expertise in collector automobile and motorsports insurance products.  

As part of the deal, all staff members including president and owner Morgan Duffy will become part of MMA and continue working from their current office location. 

Duffy said: “We are proud of the trust that our clients put in us to protect their valuable assets. We do not take lightly the responsibility we have to provide them with the best service possible. Joining MMA will enable our team to refine the expertise and outcomes we are able to deliver in today’s evolving personal lines insurance market.” 

Commenting on the deal, MMA Private Client Services division CEO and president Pete Walther said: “Not only are the needs of our high-net-worth clients unique but even more so for each individual asset they need protected.  

“Hayden Wood brings a wealth of expertise and a deep-rooted passion for motorsports, which will enable us to engage meaningfully with clients and deliver tailored solutions that protect the unique assets and passions they value most.” 

In September 2025, MMA acquired Robins Insurance in Nashville, Tennessee.  

Robins Insurance, founded in 1976, provides both business and personal lines insurance services to clients in industries such as real estate, construction, hospitality, community associations and manufacturing. 

MMA provides services across the US and Canada in areas including business insurance, employee health and benefits, retirement and wealth planning, and private client insurance.
