
Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), a business of Marsh, has acquired Florida-based independent agency, Excel Insurance.
Financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
Set up in 2020, Excel offers property/casualty insurance targeting individuals and small businesses in South Florida.
The company’s expertise also spans in watercraft and motor vehicle protection.
MMA Florida CEO Doug Bishop said: “Acquiring Excel Insurance is a strategic move that enhances our commitment to serving clients in South Florida. I welcome Jacob and his team to MMA and look forward to providing even more capabilities and expertise to clients in the region.”
Excel president Jacob Pared, along with his team, will join MMA in Doral office.

MMA offers business insurance, employee health and benefits, private client insurance solutions and retirement & wealth in the US and Canada.
In April 2025, MMA acquired Arthur Hall Insurance, a Pennsylvania-based insurance agency.
Arthur Hall, established in 1966, provides commercial and personal lines insurance, with a focus on life sciences, information management, non-profit, craft beverage manufacturing and municipal sectors.
