The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America has teamed up with Atidot to create an insurance platform that uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology and machine learning to power data driven decision-making.

Under the partnership, Guardian Life entered into a joint venture with the AI and predictive analytics innovators at Atidot.

Atidot CEO and co-founder Dror Katzav will spearhead the venture, assisted by a dedicated team from both Atidot and Guardian.

Plans are also on to make new hires with know-how in AI, machine learning and data science for the purpose.

The resultant platform will enable consumers to understand and purchase insurance products easily, stated Guardian Life.

It will leverage the most advanced data analytic techniques to simplify processes such as development, underwriting, marketing and distribution.

The goal is to streamline service for customers looking for insurance solutions that are not complex.

Commenting on the development, Guardian Life SVP and head of Enterprise Data Analytics Tom Olds said: “Guardian and Atidot, working together, are uniquely positioned to bring 160 years of experience and underwriting knowledge together with the most modern technology to create new opportunities for consumers, our policyholders and our agents.

“Bringing the power of these tools to consumers and our colleagues that work on their behalf has significant potential for improving service and satisfaction.”

Earlier this month, Guardian Life collaborated with Nayya to offer personalised, online data-driven benefits experience to employers and employees during the open enrolment process.

The partnership involves the integration of Nayya’s decision-making tool into the Guardian Life enrolment experience.
