Global hospitality group Accor has formed a strategic partnership with insurance company AXA to provide medical support to guests across the 5,000 Accor hotels worldwide.

Effective July this year, the partnership is expected to provide Accor’s guests to benefit from a range of expert medical solutions of AXA Partners.

AXA Partners is an entity of AXA international that specialises in assistance services, travel insurance and credit protection.

Through this partnership, AXA aims to strengthen its payer-to-partner strategy to provide innovative services to its customers, notably in health industry.

Accor’s guests will benefit from AXA’s telemedicine capabilities, like free access to medical teleconsultations.

They will also get access to an extensive medical network with tens of thousands of vetted medical professionals catering to Accor’s 110 destinations globally.

These services complements Accor’s global recovery plan as it prepare for the Covid-19 rebound, post-pandemic.

Accor chairman and CEO Sébastien Bazin said: “This distinctive partnership with AXA which we have been working on for several months makes even more sense in today’s context.

“In an increasingly complex environment, our 300,000 team members on the ground will be able to assist our guests and ensure their safety during their stays, turning our hotels into shelters.
