Hamilton Insurance Group has announced key leadership changes at its London-based underwriting arm, Hamilton Global Specialty.
Sinead Cormican has been named chief underwriting officer (CUO) as part of the restructuring.

She will take over from Miles Osorio, who is set to retire at the end of June 2026 after more than ten years with the company.
Cormican will report to CEO Alex Baker.
Speaking on Osorio’s retirement, Baker said: “Miles’ contributions have been instrumental in shaping the business we have today at Hamilton Global Specialty. It has been a privilege to work with him, and I am immensely proud of what our talented team has achieved over the past decade together with his leadership. I wish him a happy and healthy retirement following an impressive three decades serving the industry.”
Cormican will continue as active underwriter for Syndicate 4000 in addition to her new responsibilities.

With more than 25 years in the insurance sector, Cormican brings technical experience and market knowledge to her new position.
Baker added: “Sinead’s appointment reflects the depth of talent within Hamilton and the strength of our succession planning. Her continued exceptional contributions, leadership and deep understanding of our platform make her exceptionally well placed to lead our underwriting organisation. I am confident she will continue to build on the platform’s success as CUO.”
Richard Northcott will take on the role of head of business development strategy, reporting to Baker.
He will also continue as head of marine and energy.
Northcott’s expanded role will focus on leading business development projects across all Hamilton Global Specialty business lines and further developing relationships with brokers and clients.
Baker noted: “At the same time, Richard’s expanded role underscores our continued focus on strategic growth and long-term client and broker partnerships.”
In July 2025, Raymond Karrenbauer was appointed as group chief information officer, replacing Venkat Krishnamoorthy.
