Experience unmatched clarity with a single platform that combines unique data, AI, and human expertise.
This alignment brings together two operators with experience in marine and transport insurance, consolidating their services into a single platform aimed at supporting the cargo and logistics sector.
SPG said the deal will add complementary capabilities, enhancing its existing transportation division.
By combining Anova’s ocean cargo and digital underwriting resources with Logistiq’s focus on domestic transport and risk analysis, the operation will provide insurance options for freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers and motor carriers.
The offering will also draw on SPG Transportation’s liability and work injury products.

Anova Marine Insurance Services president Bradford A. Boyd and Logistiq Insurance Solutions president Glenn Stebbings are joined by Julian Stokes and Scott Cornell.
Stokes was previously the president of Dual Logistics and Cornell was vice-president of Transportation Risk & Strategy at Travelers.
Stokes has been leading Anova’s non-marine programmes since mid-2025, while Cornell joined Logistiq later in 2025 as chief risk officer.
Under the unified platform, SPG plans to deliver a broader range of services.
These include all-risk coverage for ocean and domestic cargo, stock throughput policies and logistics operator liability with full underwriting authority up to $25m ($50m within 24 hours).
It also includes licensing and surety bonds, advice on cargo theft and supply chain security, consulting on contractual liability exposures, and digital solutions for quoting and claims.
SPG president and CEO Chris Treanor said: “Bringing Julian and Scott into this ecosystem with Bradford and Glenn is a game-changer.
“Julian’s unrivalled track record in non-marine logistics underwriting and Scott’s legendary expertise in cargo theft and supply chain security provide our partners with a level of insight that simply doesn’t exist elsewhere. We aren’t just underwriting insurance; we are building a community of innovation where every member is ‘Stronger Together’.”
