The office, located on Brickell Avenue, is said to improve the company’s capabilities in providing commercial insurance and facultative reinsurance offerings across various sectors in Latin America.

Sectors covered include property, construction, financial lines, marine and multinational services.

The Miami hub will manage and support Allianz Commercial’s business activities in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.

It is also positioned to extend reinsurance activities into markets like Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Panama.

The local team will connect regional client and broker requirements to Allianz Commercial’s international underwriting and technical resources.

Guilherme Bizzo heads the regional managing director office in Miami after relocating from Brazil last December.

Bizzo is responsible for advancing the hub’s operational strategy and overseeing multinational and alternative risk transfer functions.

Angelica Torres leads the facultative reinsurance desk in Miami, where she will coordinate placements and manage relationships with brokers in the region.

Eduardo Fontes has taken on responsibility for developing regional distribution strategies and building broker partnerships across Latin America.

Felipe Orsi moved from Brazil to oversee property-related insurance and reinsurance matters region-wide.

Ivan Coronado heads natural resources and construction, managing risks related to power generation, oil and gas, renewables, heavy industries and construction projects.

Monica Oyaga, moving from Colombia, is the head of long-tail. She will manage underwriting strategy and portfolio management across financial lines, cyber, entertainment and other long-tail offerings.

Daniel Castrillon has relocated from Colombia, taking charge of technical operations for Latin America with a focus on underwriting standards and risk assessment.

The Miami team collaborates with Gabriela Rosa in Brazil and Diego Reppetti in Argentina to maintain coordination with Allianz Commercial’s entities throughout the Latin American region.

The official opening of the Miami hub is scheduled for February 2026 during Miami Reinsurance Week.
