Southern Trust Insurance has appointed Douglas Jensen as its new president and CEO. 

In his new role, Jensen will manage company operations, define strategic plans and guide Southern Trust through its upcoming period of growth. 

Jensen joins the company with a background in insurance leadership that spans more than 30 years in commercial and personal insurance lines, as well as claims management.  

Previously, he held the position of chief operating officer at First Acceptance Insurance. 

Southern Trust board chairman Dale Jenkins said: “We are thrilled to welcome Doug to Southern Trust Insurance Company. Doug brings a deep understanding of multi-line P&C [property and casualty] and a track record of operational excellence to the role.  

“His proven ability to lead high-performing teams, combined with his extensive expertise across the insurance industry, will guide us confidently into this exciting new chapter.”

Set up in 1968, Southern Trust Insurance is headquartered in the US and caters to the south-eastern market.  

The company collaborates with a network of more than 300 independent agencies to offer customised commercial and personal insurance services to its clientele.
