Independent brokerage Lockton Re has named Ed Le Flufy as its global head of cyber, operating from the company’s London office.

Flufy will collaborate with clients and teams internationally.

The appointment is part of the company’s ongoing expansion of its cyber capabilities.

Lockton Re International CEO Keith Harrison said: “We are delighted Ed will be joining Lockton Re supporting our commitment to provide clients with leading edge solutions and insight into the fast growing and evolving cyber market.

“Leading our cyber team Ed will drive the further development and delivery of a multi-disciplinary global cyber team that combines innovative risk transfer solutions in both the traditional and ILS [insurance-linked securities] markets with advanced cyber analytics and risk consulting expertise.”

The new position is expected to align with the company’s focus on supporting clients across the globe with a seamless service, irrespective of their location.

Earlier this month, Lockton appointed Peter Rapciewicz as its US Casualty leader and Jessica Cullen as head of Excess Casualty and Operations.

Rapciewicz, who has more than 20 years’ experience, will oversee the expansion of Lockton’s casualty business in the US. He will report to Devin Beresheim, Lockton’s US Risk Solutions leader.
