
MAPFRE USA has named Mark Pasko as its new executive vice-president, general counsel and secretary, effective 21 July.
In his new role, Pasko will oversee the company’s legal, regulatory and government affairs in the US, alongside responsibilities for compliance, state filings and corporate governance matters.
Pasko joins MAPFRE USA with considerable experience in corporate counsel, insurance and management.
He most recently served as chief legal officer of QBE North America, where he managed legal and regulatory affairs for QBE’s operations in North America and Bermuda.

Pasko holds a law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School, a master’s degree in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
MAPFRE USA, a subsidiary of Spanish insurance group MAPFRE, operates as the holding company for several property and casualty insurance companies collectively known as MAPFRE Insurance.
