Price Forbes Re has appointed Isaac Sanday to the newly created position of global head of Life, Pensions & Annuities.

Sanday, who has more than two-and-a-half decades of industry experience, will be based in London.

In his new role at Price Forbes Re, Sanday will be responsible for establishing a new line of business focused on life, pension and annuity reinsurance transactions on a global scale.

His responsibilities will encompass advising, consulting, structuring and placing these transactions, the company said in a statement.

Before joining Price Forbes Re, Sanday served as head of Life & Annuities for Guy Carpenter, covering the UK, Ireland and the Americas.

His previous tenure includes a significant period as a senior director at Willis Re/Willis Towers Watson, where he was responsible for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.

Sanday also held various roles at Swiss Re, and before stepping into the reinsurance sector he worked in investment banking.

Sanday said: “I am pleased to join Price Forbes Re at such a dynamic time for the business. The ambition and clear commitment to growing in the life, pensions and annuities space made this a very appealing move. We have big ambitions for this exciting, non-traditional broking line of business.”

He will report directly to Roger Smith, head of Accident, Health and Life, the insurer said.

Smith stated: “Isaac brings a wealth of experience and an understanding of reinsurance across several regions, which enables him to hit the ground running in his role with us. His energy and enthusiasm are well supported by his skills and experience.

“It is a testament to the platform that has been established at Price Forbes Re that we can attract such talented and established professionals.”

In February, Price Forbes Re appointed Sherman Power as executive vice-president for alternative risk and capital solutions.
