Out of the insurance industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11.44% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 0.54% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 58.62% in April 2022, registering a 13.81% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 16.6% share, a decrease of 9.17% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.94%, registering a 13.1% decline from March 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 10.38%, down 1.92% over the previous month.
Top five insurance companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 9.05% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s insurance industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
UnitedHealth Group posted 765 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a drop of 7.16% over the previous month, followed by Anthem with 600 jobs and a 27.27% drop. Dai-ichi Life Holdings with 234 IT jobs and Centene with 208 jobs, recorded a 766.67% flat growth and a 38.82% decrease, respectively, while MetLife recorded an increase of 13.68% with 133 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.07%, down by 15.07% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 30.19% share, registered a decline of 9.51% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.45% share, down 14.42% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.29%, recording a month-on-month decline of 13.56%.
