The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.03% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the insurance industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.3% share in April 2022, recording a decrease of 0.58% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 56.98% in April 2022, registering a 30.77% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 11.73% share, a decrease of 12.5% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 11.73%, registering a 57.14% decline from March 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 11.17%, up 33.33% over the previous month.
Top five insurance companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 1.27% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s insurance industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
AXA posted 23 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 91.67% over the previous month, followed by RSA Insurance Group with 18 jobs and a 30.77% drop. Aviva with 14 IT jobs and Zurich Insurance Group with 13 jobs, recorded a 12.5% decline and a 35% decrease, respectively, while Swiss Re recorded an increase of 140% with 12 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.18%, up by 0.77% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.88% share, registered an increase of 39.13% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.94% share, down 27.27% over March 2022.
