The industry’s overall hiring increased by 55.34% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the insurance industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.36% share in April 2022, recording a decrease of 5.62% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 52.63% in April 2022, registering a 12.9% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 25.56% share, an increase of 126.67% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 14.29%, registering a 137.5% rise from March 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 6.77%, up 350% over the previous month.
Top five insurance companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 89.58% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s insurance industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
Swiss Re posted 33 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 26.92% over the previous month, followed by Sun Life Financial with 16 jobs and a flat growth. Zurich Insurance Group with 15 IT jobs and FBD with 14 jobs, recorded a 7.14% flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Marsh & McLennan Companies recorded an increase of 62.5% with 13 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.4%, up by 71.74% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 33.83% share, registered an increase of 45.16% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.02% share, up 14.29% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.75%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
