IT jobs accounted for a 10.39% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in October 2021, registering a decrease of 0.04% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in October 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 54.14% in October 2021, a 16.42% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 23.17% in October 2021, marking a 36.11% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 13.95% in October 2021, a 7.27% rise from September 2021.

By GlobalDataComputer and Information Analysts registered a share of 5.2% in October 2021, an 18.52% decline over the previous month.
Top five insurance companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 6.83% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s insurance industry during October 2021 over previous month.
Bajaj Finserv posted 44 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered an increase of 4.76% over the previous month, followed by Willis Towers Watson with 41 jobs and a 141.18% growth. Insurance Australia Group with 30 IT jobs and Intercorp Financial Services with 29 jobs, recorded a 36.36% rise and a 55.38% drop, respectively, while Zurich Insurance Group recorded an 86.67% increase with 28 job postings during October 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s insurance industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 32.86% share in October 2021, a 1.42% decrease over September 2021. Australia featured next with a 25.77% share, down 12.8% over the previous month. Singapore recorded a 9.69% share, a growth of 57.69% compared with September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.5%, up by 6.91% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 21.28% share, registered a decline of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.75% share, down 7.5% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.47%, recording a month-on-month decline of 66.67%.
